We are a small animal practice in Norwich, first established in 1991. We are passionate about animals and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open five days a week at Hellesdon and seven days a week at Thorpe and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
Justyna graduated from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Poland and joined Willow in September 2017.
Within the veterinary medicine profession, she is particularly interested in internal medicine, ophthalmology and neurology.
She loves art, music, travelling and experiencing different cultures (mainly through their food).
In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit and going on long walks in the countryside.
Amy Loombe RVN
Our head nurse and specialist in all fields of animal healthcare. Amy qualified in Norfolk and has worked here since then, bringing exceptional organisational and nursing skills to the practice. She guides our younger nurses as well as supporting and advising our vets. She also controls the stock system in the practice. Her young dog Murphy comes to work with her each day and provides us all with endless fun. She also keeps a steady hand on continuing professional development amongst our nurses.
Ellie Longshaw RVN
Ellie completed her veterinary nurse training at the College of West Anglia, where she became a registered veterinary nurse in August 2016. She runs the puppy parties here at Willow and has recently completed further training to become a Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor. She has a special interest in medical nursing and specialist nurse clinics. Ellie lives with her partner and their fur baby Todd, a one year old Lakeland Terrier.
Becky Saunders RVN
Becky trained at Willow and qualified in February 2014. In 2015 she left and joined a hospital/emergency practice to pursue her interest of orthopaedic surgery and further her nursing skills in this area. During her time away, she trained in hydrotherapy and went on to run the unit where she treated up to 12 dogs a day in the hydrotherapy treadmill. Becky returned in October 2017 to cover maternity leave. We have discovered how much we have missed her distinctive laugh and a certain member of staff is thrilled to have his singing buddy back.
Student Veterinary Nurse
Shannon is our nurse in training, who aspires to become a qualified veterinary nurse and work with endangered species. Shannon lives with her two rescue dogs, Peppa and Teddy. She loves to travel and has recently been to Italy, Denmark and Africa, the latter affirming her desire to work with exotic and endangered species. Her favourite animal is a Toucan although she has expressed a desire to one day own a chameleon or a goat called Pickle.
Patient Care Assistant and Practice Administrator
Caroline (Kaz) has been a valued member of our practice family since 2002. She started out with general duties about the practice but over the years has picked up all the skills required to turn her into an extremely vital member of the nursing team. There is nothing Kaz doesn’t know about our veterinary practice and is the 'go to' person for many problems that arise every day. She's always smiling and always has the answer - we would be lost without her.
Lindsey has worked tirelessly within the practice for many years, controlling everything from rotas to payroll and computer systems - the sort of person we would love to clone! She has extensive knowledge of not only the mechanics of veterinary practice but the pastoral side of dealing with client's emotional and financial problems which crop up on a daily basis. She owns Ruby, her rescue Rotty cross and enjoys Ceroc dancing, skiing and family trips in her motorhome to far flung places. Both Lindsey's daughters work in the veterinary profession so she understands the whole essence of veterinary life and is as dedicated as a vocational vet because of her love of animals.
Receptionist at Hellesdon
Jill is married to our senior vet David and is probably the only employee he is actually scared of. She gained a wealth of veterinary practice knowledge during the many years they ran several practices in Wembley. She is an expert in juggling several tasks at once and has always got an eye on everything that is happening around her. Her spare time is now generally occupied with her three lovely grandchildren but she still has plenty of time for her beautiful, albeit sometimes grumpy, Pointer called Nina.
Louise has worked at Willow since 2004 and is loved by staff and clients alike. She recently left for pastures new but missed us all so much that after six weeks away she returned to us and is now back behind the reception desk in her rightful position. Louise is married to a lovely man (we have to say that because he brings us doughnuts and fruit cake!) and they have three sons and a male dog called Bently... Never mind Lou, at least the cat, Tinsel is female.
Receptionist and Social Media Administrator
Jodie graduated from university in 2015 with a BA in photography. She joined Willow in 2016 and uses her skills as a photographer to increase the use of social media within the practice and at the same time support the reception team. She does a great job of bonding with our clients and taking photographs of their pets to use on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and the website. Jodie has recently started to take over some of the administration work at the practice and joins Ellie at the puppy parties every week to keep a photographic diary of the evening activities. Jodie lives at home with her family and rescue dog Ruby.
